As most of you know, Governor Walz shut down schools beginning Wednesday, March 18th through March 27th. With our District (196) closing schools effective tomorrow, March 16th.
The Governor did not recommend that Child Care Centers close down as we are essential to keeping our doctors, nurses, and other critical care positions at work so they can continue to provide services to our community during this time.
At this time, All Stars will remain open for parents that need child care. *If you plan on keeping your child home, please let me know as we work to potentially accommodate more school-age children this week.
We want all parents to be mindful of social distancing right now and keeping classroom sizes low to limit the spread of COVID-19 (and to hopefully keep it out of our school so that we can remain open), we are encouraging parents to be mindful of this as they send their children to daycare.
School-age parents (K-5): As of right now, we will not have room for school-agers Monday and Tuesday unless we have a dramatic drop in numbers in other classrooms. We are working on attendance for Wed, Thursday, and Friday – I will know more tomorrow whether or not we will have space for all of our school-agers those additional days. Thankfully, this closure backs up to our Spring Break. Please let me know if your child will need care Wed-Fri this week (we will not have time to order hot lunch, so please be sure to bring a lunch from home Wed & Thurs, we will be able to get them on the pizza order on Friday). *If you are in critical need, please reach out to us tomorrow morning when we open*
Tracy, Denise, and I will be meeting tomorrow to discuss further, and I will send out communication after that.
This is new territory for all of us, and we appreciate your support and patience as we navigate through this.
Stay well!
